Last night I went to Berlin’s fantastic Museum for Communication for the opening of a new exhibit, but got distracted by one of the permanent exhibits. This is “Berliner Luft Post” or “Berlin Air Mail” by Stefan Sous (1999). Carriage enthusiasts will either be fascinated or horrified to learn that it’s made from an 1880s mail coach. I also caught a glimpse of the museum’s extensive collection of horns tootled to announce the coming of the post – coaching and carriage fans might like to make the trip. (excuse blurriness – I have no flash)
